Making the BIG Buck

Saturday, May 31, 2008 0 comments

I am working on a video editing project for a guy in the UK and the video I'm editing tells you how to make Millions and Millions of dollars!!!! I'm telling you people we've missed out. We could be making $200,000 the first week of doing this with little effort at all.

My plan to make it big is this, I'm going to invite thousands of people to make millions and I'm going to have a big conference hall and charge people a whole lot of money to come. Do you think people wouldn't want a shot at making it big? I will then have maybe hundreds of thousands of dollars almost overnight....LOL

OK, honestly I have a really hard time believing that people actually make that much money, as I edited the video I found that most of the information which they were sharing I already knew. Its great stuff, but it requires TIME. There is no quick way to get rich. OR IS THERE?

My blessing is this, I have a home in heaven, more specifically a mansion. So many people waste their entire life chasing the green buck and completely loose their life in the process...Think about this, What is the purpose of Life? We often limit our goals to this lifetime, LISTEN, think broader and then narrow down your goal.

One of the instructors mentioned, remember its not about the money, but about your family, your relationship. He told them they could get all the money they want, but it would not make them happy. He is right, but don't forget about your relationship with God.

Well, I know you all know this already, but maybe it will help you as you think about things today. Why do you do what you do? Is your end result something limited to this life or will your choices benefit your for eternity?

A Privelage To Preach

Monday, May 26, 2008 0 comments

Hey there, once again I have another blessing to post. I had a great
opportunity to preach the Word at my church. Two of my other friends
also preached too! From what I heard it has been a blessing to quite a
few of the brethren.

Blessing #2
On Saturday my family and I went to Country Meadows Nursing Home and
song songs and played music for an hour and then handed out our
testimony tracks afterwards. We had a good opportunity to speak to
quite a few of the people and we were invited back again to the next
building. The people in the other building are completely independent
so that may be even more of an open door to speak to people about Christ

Blessing #3
Right now my family and I are enjoying a calm ride down to my cousins
graduation party. Unfortunately my brother Titus got sick dduring the
night so he is at home. Poor guy. We are listening to a message by
S.M. Davis. He just used a great illustration about a guy who kept
answering a young mans question about how to preach by saying... "Is
There A Hell" That is a powerful question. How often that thought
could change the decisions you are about to make, mainly I am
referring to the issue of soul winning. Bro. Davis is a awesome
preacher. It is a blessing to listen to his messages.

I thought for sure I had one other blessing to list, but its slipping
my mind right now. Thank you for reading my blog. I hope that I have
some things that are a blessing to you too! Have a Happy Memorial Day!
Don't forget about our soldiers.

All I can say is that I am so thankful for the "mountaintop" times the
Lord gives. Right now I could use some time to pause and think, but
right now I have to keep trodding on.

The greatest blessing I have right now to share is the blessing to be
able to preach a 10 min. challenge for the Sunday evening service. The
Lord has been showing me some good stuff. I have to focus my point
down on my message, that's my hard part :) Bro. Ronnie is such a nice
guy. He helped me try to get my ideas pinned down and outlined. Bro.
Ronnie has always been such a great blessing to my life. I thank the
Lord for him.

Also as an additional blessing the Lord helped me win three video
projects!!! It is such a blessing because it will help me increase my
feedback for future projects and the one guy told me that he is a
Baptist also. It will be great getting to know this guy. Well, some of
you will get to hear my message and for those who don't, well, just
pray for me that the Word of God will go forth with power and will
speak to people's hearts. I think people sometimes pay attention more
when it is a new person speaking... I don't know, anyway,

Have a Great Day!

Here's another little blessing. I have no idea why little kids seem to
pop up in my blessing blog all the time. :) I just thought it was cute
to seem my brother Hudson scamper down my basement stairs while I was
reading and begin running on the treadmill while quoting a whole list
of verses he had in his memory. Of course it was distracting to have him talking out loud, but it was a blessing to see him on his own
began speaking the Word of God! Praise the Lord!
Good Day Everyone!

Quite a Few Busy Weeks

Sunday, May 18, 2008 0 comments

Hello again, it has been quite some time since I wrote on my blog, its not that I've forgotten to, but simply I've not had time to. The highlight blessings for the past couple of weeks have been
1. I had another opportunity to speak to my orthodontist about Christ
2. The Lord has been so good to give me more than enough work opportunities.
3. On the Friday moving job (which was quite a story) I was able to give a tract and DVD to the son of the family Nat and I moved. The family had just gone through a divorce and we were helping the mother and children move away. Hopefully he will read it and God will be able to do a work in his life. Divorce is such an aweful aweful thing.
4. Had some good group music practices with my family.
5. I am blessed to be alive. If you heard about Friday's moving job you will know what I mean.

Its been busy, I will try to put some more interesting things up as soon as I have time. Until then, Goodnight!

Baptist Blessing

Monday, May 5, 2008 1 comments

As I said in my last couple blogs, I was just recently at a Baptist Preachers Meeting in Missouri and it was phenomenal. I am very thankful for my Pastor and other men organizing this event. We were asked to share a short blessing to the rest of the church and so I got some of my thoughts together and focused on one area which I felt was a good thought to consider.....I will say one thing though the more I grow, the more there are things to learn. It doesn't stop. Obey what you know in scripture and continue on Growing. If you keep learning then it becomes depressing because you see so much you need to change. Follow in the light....one step at a time. Follow, don't wait and try to catch up...

Okay, well here is the testimony I shared with everyone...

God will Done Gods way will reap God’s Rewards

Out of the 33 or so excellent messages I heard, the greatest lesson I learned was at a lunch table with Pastor Norwood. The lesson he taught which made an impact on me was this, Gods Will Done God way will reap Gods rewards.
Pastor has taught this truth many times, but speaking to this man reinforced a very important truth. As I saw from the missions section of the conference, it is very easy to do things the way man thinks they should be done.

This concept of doing God’s Will Gods way is not only for missions, but as I thought about it, it can be applied in every area of life. It is easy to skip Gods method when you know Gods way. This is a problem.

Here are some illustrations I’ve thought about in the Word of God.
Cain, Was it Gods will to offer the Sacrifice? Yes, did he do it Gods way? No…

Moses, when he hit the rock, Was it the will of God to get water to his people? Yes, did he do Gods way? No…

How about when Samuel chose David for King? Was it Gods will for Israel to Have a King? Yes, Did he do it Gods way? Yes!

How about Boaz, Was it Gods will for him to be married? Yes, Did he wait for Ruth and do things Gods way? Yes

I can tell you many more biblical examples…
There are rewards for those who do things Gods way, and there are punishments for those who do not!

Now for the area of missions which we were taught about…
Have we not been told to send out men as missionaries? Yes…How did Jesus do it?
- A. Did he start a board? No
- B. Did the local, visible church he started send men out? Yes

How about Evangelism, Does Jesus want men trained for the ministry? Yes
- A. Did Jesus save a person and leave him as a new babe in Christ… or
- B. Did Jesus save men, and train men to lead others to salvation as well….continuing the cycle…

To me it was a great encouragement to see how God really blessed the discipleship and church planting ministry by Brother Milton Martin when he applied these principles.

This is the lesson which I’ve learned this week, just knowing the will of God is not enough, I need to do Gods will in Gods way to be blessed.

The Prolonged Package

Sunday, May 4, 2008 0 comments

An Event which happened this Saturday (May 3rd 2008)

After much laboring, digging, pouring stones and burning rubber the Fedex man laid out his options to the man as he delivered the simple package. A package delivery which was supposed to take only a minute or two now was up to fourty five minutes. He had successfully dug his tires about a half a foot into the mud and dirt and now the large truck sat idoly in our neighbors front lawn. They wondered if they should call a tow truck, but sometimes towtrucks take forever to arrive. The Fedex man remebered that my mother had given him a track about salvation before and he thought to himself, if somebody could help him out of his predicament, we would. With that thought in mind the Fedex man made his way through the pine trees and over to our front door and asked us for help. We hopped up from the supper table and agreed that we would see what we could do since he said he was only stuck a little. Well, as I mentioned in the beginning of the blog, this guy was STUCK. I've been able to push a van before and rock it, but when me, my brother, my Dad, our neighbor and the fedex assistant began to push that truck it wouldn't even rock, that truck was going absoultely now where fast.

By this time, the fedex guy was probably there for an hour. I remembered our other neighbor had a strong truck and a chain. I gave him a call and he came right over with his F-350 and pulled that Fedex truck out like pushing butter across glass. Black smoke blew from the dirt as the truck was pulled out. The fedex guy was sooooo thankful to the both of us.

Just think, this may be an opportunity which this guy will be interested in salvation. He specifically told us that he came over because he knew we had given him the pamphlet. I don't know what the guys name is, but just pray that the fedex guy gets saved. God will know who he is...What a blessing!!!

P.S. In case you didn't here my blessing from the Preachers Conference I will post it in tomorrows blog. It was a blessing to the folks at church and I hope that it will encourage you spiritually as well!

The Torcherous Travel

Saturday, May 3, 2008 0 comments

Its that time again, time to leave Missouri and drive back to PA. It was a wonderful trip, but it will be wonderful to be back and see my family again. We left from MO about 3pm and it is currently 11:56 pm....We still have many many miles of road yet to drive upon. The trip so far has been comprised of texting everyone, mostly to each other. I know, I know...it dosent make sense. That's what happens when you scrunch 8 humans in a van...they do crazy things. I don't believe I am going to get any sleep on this trip :) Nat and Chris are the only guys that got any sleep. So far Mr. Nadaskay has been doing all the driving, he seems to be doing good. I have a feeling he is going to need a coffee break soon. This morning Travis Jones preached and a couple other guys. Bro Jones was the highlight for today. It was very challenging. Basically the lesson was this, If you are not discipling, you are in sin. Ya, its hard to hear...I need to get cracking in this area. Well, hopefully the rest of this trip will be as uneventful as it has been so far. I'm very thankful for this trip. It has been great to be around these men of God. I am anxious to get some better plans together to grow. Have a wonderful day everyone!
