At The Cross with Thai Flute

Saturday, March 21, 2009

I was just studying for my Homiletics class and as I glanced across my desk I saw the flute which I bought in Thailand. I really love the sound it makes so I picked it up and started playing some hymns. I decided to record one of the songs and share it's pretty sound with you, unfortunately I made a couple mistakes like trying to find that bottom hole. It tricks me every time because that hole doesn't have to get played often and its one extra pinky finger length further in comparison to the others so I always seem to miss it :)

Here are the words to the song which I had in my mind while I played....

But drops of grief can ne'er repay
the debt of love I owe:
Here, Lord, I give myself away;
'tis all that I can do!

At the cross, at the cross,
where I first saw the light,
and the burden of my heart rolled away;
it was there by faith I received my sight,
and now I am happy all the day!
